If you are considering a web presence there are some terms that you will need to know. I hope that the information given here is of value to you. The Choices for Getting a Web Presence:

Buying an existing web site:

This could be a good deal or a bad deal. Be aware that there is a thriving business in selling web sites that are not really of much value. There is software available that will build a web site based on the key words that are input and populate it with affiliate links. The advertising line for this software is 'Why Park a Domain'. Somebody may happen upon it and buy something. I did not look at the sales letter mini-site, but I suspect that implied is that you can then sell the site as a going concern. Remember what P.T. Barnum is credited with saying, "There is a sucker born every minute."

Buy into a Program:

There are many offers to 'sell' you a program that will get you on the web with the hope of making your fortune. There are a few good programs that are a 'good' deal. Those programs offer many services to their customers. When evaluating a program of this type the decision should be based on your perception of the value of the whole bundle. Do not look only at the initial price, but what the support options are down the road and what is included in the package.

Build Your Own Website:

Building your own web site is a viable alternative. If you chose to build your own site you will know what you have. You will have to do some research and work a bit harder, and you may make some mistakes along the way, but probably not as big a mistake as paying somebody significant money for a cookie cutter site and still have to do the research to make it work for you. Speaking of research, I am off to do some further research for some articles that I have in mind for this site and for some of my other sites.

The future of your internet business will depend on your day to day habits. Are your treating your business like a business? or more like a hobby? So, how do you define HABIT? A dear friend of mine recently sent me an excerpt that is the best description of habit that I have ever heard. It goes like this. I am your greatest burden or your greatest asset because I am your constant companion. I will push you forward or drag you down. I am completely at your command. Half the things you do you may as well just turn over to me and I will do them quickly and quietly. I am easily managed with firm direction. Show me exactly what you want done, and I will do them automatically without you having to think about it I am your servant and the servant of all great men and women. Those who are great, I have made great. Those who are failures, I have made failures. I am very powerful both positively and negatively, so use me wisely. I am not a machine, although I work more efficently than any machine when operated properly. You may operate me for profit or operate me for loss, it makes no difference to me. Be easy and lackadasical with me and I will destroy you. Who am I? I am HABIT. That excerpt made a huge difference on me and my internet business. With the master resell rights that generally come with PLR, that product can be tweaked, changed or modified as you see fit. You are given the authority with PLR to brand that product as your very own. With master resell rights, you are given the authority to do the following: give the material away unaltered, combine the material with others, give the material away as a bonus item, use the material as content for websites, divide the product into separate articles, put the rights for the material or the material itself up for auction, provide the material as content for paid membership sites, sell resell rights for the material, change or alter the material. PLR vs Private Resell Rights The difference between private label rights and private resell rights is that with PLR you are given the right to change or alter the product, create your own specifications, apply modifications and make it your own. With private resell rights you have the right to resell the product as is, without changing its form, design or name. The Advantages of PLR 1 – Cost efficient. Obtaining PLR articles is a lot less expensive than hiring someone to write for you. Are you having trouble getting other like-minded online marketers engaged in your offer? It can be frustrating at times. Every online marketer experiences this at one time or another. As we know, online marketing is a copy-cat world. That one idea can take you places you have never dreamed of. To help you with getting your emails opened try these seven magic power words in your subject lines. They helped me increase my email open-rate by over 20%. As a result, your list should grow much more rapidly. 7 Magic Power Words 1. Because. This is a very powerful word. Why? Because we all want to know why. If you know the why, you can figure out the how. For example, this email subject line works well for me, “Because your education is priceless, this system….”. Another example that works well is, “Because it saves valuable time, this program…”. Are you starting to get the picture now? The word “Because” creates a mental image and answers a question to a problem. This word is very intriguing. 2. Now. This is one of my favorites. The word ‘Now’ is an action word. Faith. Whether you believe in God, a higher power, or worship any other gods, in my opinion you must have faith. To me, faith means believing in the unknown. I am a Christian, raised in the South. Whatever you believe in, having faith is my top priority. 2. Family. Does your family support your decision? Does your family know about your internet marketing business?
